Built in Joliet.
Run by people who build.
We're a privately held, family-run integrator that has spent 30+ years putting everything that makes a line run — engineering, fabrication, panels, programming, and install — under one roof.
An independent shop,
not a middleman.
Family-run and privately held in Joliet, Illinois. The same people who quote the job are the ones who build it.
System Technology has been building automated packaging and conveyor systems in Joliet for more than thirty years. We're privately held and family-run, which means decisions get made by the people who answer the phone, not a committee three states away.
What sets the shop apart is simple: every discipline a project needs lives in one building. Mechanical and controls engineering, sheet-metal and weld fabrication, the UL-508A panel shop, PLC and HMI programming, robotics, and the install crews all work the same floor. Most integrators farm out at least one of those and stitch the schedule together by phone. We don't.
That one-shop model is the whole point. When a design changes mid-build, the people cutting steel and wiring panels hear about it the same day — not after a subcontractor finally returns a call. It keeps lead times honest, because we're quoting our own capacity instead of guessing at someone else's. And when your line goes live, there's one team accountable for it, start to finish. No finger-pointing between vendors when something needs a second look.
The people who
build it.
Quoting, engineering, fabrication, wiring, and startup — handled by the same crew, in the same building.

One roof,
fewer surprises.
The one-shop model isn't a slogan. It changes how a project actually runs.
- A single point of accountability from quote through startup
- Mechanical and controls engineering working side by side
- A UL-508A panel shop in-house, not a subcontracted box
- Systems built and tested on our floor before they ship
- Nationwide install and service from the crew that built it
- Honest schedules, because we quote our own capacity

Everything that runs your line is built here.
A system comes together on our floor — frames welded, panels wired, programs loaded, and the whole thing run through its paces before it's crated. By the time it reaches your plant, it's already been proven, not assembled for the first time on your dock.
Inside the shop.
Engineering, fabrication, the UL-508A panel shop, machining, and assembly — all on one floor in Joliet. The people who draw it are the people who build it.

Compliance built
into the work.
Certifications aren't paperwork chased after the fact. They're part of how a panel and a guard get built in the first place.
- UL-508A labeled control panel shop
- cUL listed for panels destined for Canadian sites
- CE marking available for equipment headed for export
- OSHA / ANSI-compliant guarding designed into every line
Trusted on production floors nationwide
